BRIAN MOSKOWITZ, MBA

President & Founder

Brian is from Toronto, ON. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a B.Sc.. Then, he obtained his MBA from Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS, and started his career at Roynat Capital Inc., Canada’s largest term lender and merchant bank. At 29, he co-managed a $30 million subordinated debt real estate. Then, from scratch, 2002 Brian founded Moskowitz Capital, employing the principles of being a “common sense” lender. He believes “people” pay you back, not the “buildings”. For nearly two decades, he has combined traditional credit methods, storybook lending, and grassroots marketing to achieve exceptional results for his top-performing mortgage fund.

SHAWN REMPEL, JD, MBA

Executive Vice President – On Parental Leave

Shawn is from Martensville, SK, and resides in Vancouver, BC. Shawn joined Moskowitz Capital in 2015 with a focus on growing the Western Canada portfolio. In addition to an MBA, Shawn recently completed a law degree and is a member of the BC Law Society. Outside the office, Shawn volunteers as a Triathlon Canada Executive Board Member. Previously, he was the President of Triathlon Saskatchewan and is known for his role as a varsity volleyball and alpine skiing coach. Shawn exhibits an unwavering commitment to excellence in his professional endeavors and athletic pursuits, whether achieving personal bests as a triathlete or finding solutions that work for his clients.

KRISTIN ROBINSON, CPA, CA

Director of Finance and Operations – On Maternity Leave

Kristin is from Elfros, SK and now resides in Toronto. She is a graduate of the Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan. With a major in accounting, Kristin went on to complete her CPA, CA designation in 2014. Prior to joining Moskowitz Capital, she spent eight years in public accounting, dealing with all sizes of owner-managed businesses, providing sound financial advice, and acting as a contract controller. Moving to Ontario in 2019, she worked as a CFO of an auto dealership and then joined Moskowitz Capital as the Director of Finance and Operations.

STEPHEN MAHARAJ, CPA, CA

Director of Finance and Operations

Stephen is from Winnipeg, MB and currently resides in Toronto, ON.  He’s a CPA, CA with over 15 years professional experience in audit, accounting, finance, operations, and tax compliance.  Prior to joining Moskowitz Capital, Stephen held financial reporting roles in start up companies across the technology, consumer goods, and energy sectors.  He obtained his CA designation with Deloitte in 2010 while serving several TSX listed companies headquartered in Winnipeg.  Stephen is an avid traveler and has visited 23 countries.

COLTON MILLER

Business Development Specialist

Colton is from & resides in Edmonton, AB. He graduated with distinction from Vancouver Island University with a BBA majoring in Finance. In addition to his education, Colton brings a robust finance & lending perspective from his previous roles with Toronto Dominion Bank as a Business Account Manager, a Credit Analyst, and his experience completing the CFA level I exam. He is a gregarious individual who maintains a relationship-first approach to business that matches Moskowitz’s storybook lending foundation. Colton is a golf enthusiast who has travelled to 16 countries and counting.

SOURAV NEOGI

Director of Business Development

Sourav, based in Calgary, is a seasoned corporate finance professional with over 15 years of experience in the banking industry. He has a proven track record in credit and financial risk management, business development, and corporate relationship management. His expertise includes origination, debt structuring, and restructuring, making him a versatile finance expert. Currently a Level 3 CFA candidate, Sourav demonstrates a strong commitment to professional growth. Outside work, he has a passion for strength training and an active lifestyle.

ANJALI KUMARI

Associate Underwriter

Anjali is from India and currently resides in Burnaby, BC. She has completed her MBA from All India Management Association, New Delhi, India and has close to 10 years of professional experience in commercial mortgage lending. Before joining Moskowitz Capital, Anjali worked in various roles: Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager at Wells Fargo, Senior Associate at Acuity Knowledge Partners, and Senior Financial Analyst at Berkadia Services India Ltd. Anjali enjoys playing badminton and chess.

FREYA-ROSE TAYLOR

Credit Analyst

Freya is from Brooksby, SK, and currently resides in Saskatoon, SK. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Finance at the University of Saskatchewan. Prior to her role at Moskowitz Capital, Freya gained valuable experience as a Financial Service Representative at a bank, where she honed her skills in customer service and financial management. In addition to her academic and professional pursuits, Freya is a proud volunteer with 7 Cups, an organization committed to promoting mental well-being for individuals and communities. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and has a passion for soccer, reflecting her adventurous spirit and commitment to teamwork. Freya is enthusiastic about leveraging her skills to make a positive impact at Moskowitz Capital.
